Suitable for 50 to 330 guests Built in Newcastle in 1970 and refurbished in 1998 by its new owners, Victoria Star is Melbourne's premier hospitality vessel. She possesses luxury, classic charm and a warm and inviting character all of her own. Formerly known as the Lady McKell, named in honour of the wife of Sir William McKell, a former Governor General of Australia, she was a member of Sydney's fleet of famous harbour ferries and a winner of the great ferry race on three occasions. Her spacious fully enclosed saloons are handsomely appointed with gleaming brass, rich timberwork and plush carpet. Outside the ship's expansive teak decks are favourite places for relaxed living. A modern well equipped galley and bar were installed. All new modern amenities were fitted during the refurbishment. Traditional rich timber panelling complimented by plush red carpets and polished brass dictated the ship's image and position in the marketplace. Offering a wide variety of catering and bar options we allow great flexibility to create a unique and memorable special event. Catering for 50 to 120 guests’ table service and buffet style or up to around 250 guests’ finger food style. Weddings, corporate functions, Christmas parties aboard the Victoria Star are one of the best ways to cruise Melbourne's waterways. Areas of Cruising: Melbourne Harbour
