Suitable for 50-360 guests Lady Cutler was laid down in March 1968 and launched at the State Dockyards in Newcastle, NSW on the 10th August 1968. She was commissioned soon afterwards on the 8th October and quickly made her mark on Sydney's gay harbour life. She wasn't much different to the 'classic' old Sydney ferries, but the double ended style and effect was a similar derivative. She was followed by two almost identical sisterships - Lady Woodward and Lady McKell - on October 19, 1970. Completely renovated to 5 star standard in 2007, the stylish Lady Cutler is extremely versatile, giving you the choice to decide the style of function you want. With two decks there is ample room to allow you to invite up to 360 guests for a luxury cocktail style party or up to 120 for formal dining. We offer flexible floor plans for large and medium sized events, and endeavour to do all that we can to tailor our service to suit your needs. Generally, clients choose to dine on the Lady Cutler. Catering is of the highest quality and varied. Nouveau cuisine is our general fare. This is a truly unique experience; from our viewing decks patrons watch the sun setting amidst the Melbourne and Bayside seascapes. Alternatively, for a livelier occasion, downstairs the Lady Cutler houses a large dance floor, club lounge and the finest on-water bar in Melbourne The Lady Cutler served with great distinction for 22 years on the inner harbour run and was decommissioned in 1991. Many people fondly remember her as daily commuters from the inner north shore to the city and other as day trippers to Luna Park and Taronga Zoo. Along with the Lady Woodward and Lady McKell she was originally sold to Hong Kong interests but the deal fell through. In 1998 she was sold to Ron Morrison and then to Shannon Harper, removed from Port Jackson and steamed south to Melbourne. After arriving in Melbourne much of the steelwork on her hull and superstructure was replaced. Since 2004 she has sat, rather forlornly in the Maribyrnong River awaiting more venture capital to complete the project of bringing her back into survey as a cruiseship operating in Port Phillip and the Port of Melbourne. Jeff Gordon bought the vessel in 2007 and provided the funds to complete the project. The vessel completed its major refit in Portland on the 10th August 2007, exactly 39 years after her launching and will be recommissioned in Melbourne with a completely new interior, bar and galley facility on the 7th October 2007.
