Built in 1986 and 1988 respectively, the authentic paddlewheelers played a major role in the popular World Expo '88 held at South Brisbane, now South Bank Parklands and the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The classic elegant decor and famous Queensland hospitality onboard the Kookaburra River Queens ensure a truly delightful and unique experience which will take you back to an opulent bygone era.

As they cruise the mighty Brisbane River, international and interstate visitors will admire the unique beauty and versatility of Kookaburra River Queen I and II which were built with traditional Australian timbers, using shipwrights' techniques dating back to Noah's Ark. Each River Queen is licensed to carry up to 350 passengers at any one time. (700 people using both boats).

With full flexibility in mind choose your function layout from theatre style, Classroom set up, Boardroom or U-Shaped arrangement to Cocktail, Banquet and Buffet Style. These vessels have become a popular venue for cocktail evenings, business meetings and functions, product launches, wedding receptions, power breakfasts, lunches, morning and afternoon tea cruises.
